CANDLE CARE & SAFETY

Our aim is that you get the most out of your candle, so we've provided some tips to help you enjoy your candle, safely.
CANDLE MEMORY - Candles have a memory, so on your first burn make sure it burns across the entire surface of the candle, reaching the glass. This will prevent tunnelling. The first burn could take up to 2 hours or more, depending on its size.
BURN TIME - Do not burn your candle for longer than 3 hours at a time. If you would like to continue enjoying Lomani's scenty-goodness, extinguish the flame, wait for the wax to cool and then relight.
EXTINGUISHING - Try not to blow out your candle or use the lid to extinguish the flame. Using a candle snuffer if you have one, will ensure the longevity and quality of your candle.
TRIM YOUR WICK - Always trim the wick to 5mm before relighting. This will reduce smoking and 'mushrooming' where the tip of the wick starts to expand.
DRAUGHTS - Keep your candle away from draughts, open windows and doors as this can lead to uneven burning and ultimately reduce your candles burn time.
WHEN TO STOP BURNING - Do not burn your candle if less than 2cm of wax remains. This can be very dangerous, causing the glass to get too hot and break. Scoop the remaining wax out of the jar and place into the top of a wax melter/oil burner to really extend the life of your purchase. And don't forget to contact us to order your new candle!
RECYCLING YOUR JARS - Your jars can be cleaned out with warm soapy water and reused to store makeup brushes or cotton buds, or as a nice vase or home to a small succulent.

Candles are beautiful and relaxing but they are a naked flame and should never be left unattended. Remember, a good candle is a safe candle.

Follow these instructions, relax, unwind and enjoy your Lomani & Co creation!
